About the education pages

Welcome to our educational section, this area is designed to make learning on British Waterways fun.

This site provides a free online teaching and learning resource, structured to tie in with the National Curriculum for history, English, art & design, and design & technology from Key Stages 2 to 3.

You will find activity sheets covering various topics and two  outreach packs ‘Work and Transport in the Victorian Age‘ and ‘World War II The Home Front‘. These include a varied range of original sources including documents and photographs.

The educational pages can be used to support teaching in a variety of ways, ranging from activities in the classroom to use in group work and revision.
